Stage Make-Up List

JUNE 2011 RECITAL INFORMATION:

STAGE MAKE-UP FOR THE DANCE CONCERT:
All dancers must wear stage make-up. There is a wonderful tutorial at JAMcosmetcs.net Children under 12 should use the "Young Dancer Recital" look, older female dancers should use the "Prima Diva" look. Male dancers have their own make up. You do not need to use their brand make-up. Any all-day wear make-up is good. Please use a lavender or plum eyeshadow.

All female dancers will have their hair in a low bun with a hair net. Bangs will need to be slicked back and pinned. Use a lot of hair gel and hair spray! Talk to your teacher if you need help.

BASIC SUPPLY LIST FOR STAGE MAKE-UP:
Hair: All items should match hair color!
2-4 elastics
Set of bobbie pins, small
Large & small "grandma" hair pins
4 hair nets
Hair gel
Hair spray "Hard-to-Hold"
Small sox or hair piece if you have short hair

MAKE-UP:
Facial wipes or baby wipes
Moisturizer
Foundation all day wear: lighter skin tones=2 tones darker;
medium skin tones=same as; darker skin tones=1 tone lighter
Highlighter: a cream shadow two tones lighter than your skin. No Glitter or Frost!!!!
Eye shadow: a cream shadow, lavender for light skin and plum for dark skin
Blush: dark rose
Lipstick: all day wear - rose for girls, tan for boys
Eye pencil: black and brown
