CALENDER OF EVENTS
I hope you received the September & October Newsletters. If not, please pick up one at the desk. All the holidays and most performances are listed.

TO THE PARENTS OF THE STUDENTS CHOSEN TO PERFORM IN THE WINTER CONCERT
I have sent home an information sheet on the performance. Please sign it and return it to office. The Winter Concert is scheduled for January, 15, 2012.

COSTUME DEPOSIT
(For Dance Recital in June 2012)
$50.00 PER COSTUME - DUE November 10, 2011!!
The students will be measured for their costumes the 1st week in December. It is important that your child is in attendance.

DANCE RECITAL HANDBOOK
For the new parents: There will be a handbook ready for you next month that explains all about how we run our recital. Please pick one up at the desk. I feel that an informed parent is a happy parent.

PERFORMANCE
Selected students performed in Manassas on November 12th, 2011. The performance took place at the Harris Pavilion to honor all our veterans this Veteran’s Day. Thank you for all you’ve done for us!

THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY
We will be closed for Thanksgiving on November 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th & 27th. (Wednesday–Sunday)
The studio will reopen on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 4:00PM.


BAD WEATHER DAYS
If we get snow, please do not assume that if the schools are closed we will be. We make that determination at about 1:00 PM. Please call the studio (703) 878-1000 EXT 3. There will be a message stating whether we are open or closed.

DRESS CODE REMINDER
All ballet students must wear their hair in a securely fastened bun. Proper attire for all ballet students is a black leotard with pink tights, appropriate shoes and waist belt. For cold weather, a ballet sweater (that can be bought at any dancewear store) can be worn or a close fitting pink or black sweater. No Jackets!

HOODED JACKETS
We have hooded, zip-up jackets for sale. Samples are hanging in the reception area along with order forms. They are available in both children’s and adult sizes.

AUDITIONS FOR
GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL
Brandon Driver, Kayla Weldon & Leticia Izaguirre made it to the Virginia State Finals for Governor’s School.
Congratulations and good luck!!!

DRAMA PERFORMANCE
Saturday, December 3, 2011 Ms. Jones’ drama classes will have a “Performance & Pot-Luck” show starting at 4:00PM at the studio. Come enjoy an evening of entertainment and support your friends. Don’t forget to bring a snack to share following the performances!
