English born, Ms. Owen graduated as a performer and teacher from the University of Capetown , South Africa. While there, she studied under the former soloist from the Royal Ballet Company. She also performed with the Capetown Ballet Company and Orchestra in full classical ballet productions. She is a member of the Imperial Society of Teachers and has taught at the Andre Eglevsky School . Mrs. Owen also had her own dance school for 10 years.
Lynn Mather - Ballet, Pilates
Lynn holds a degree in dance from the U. of Md. And an Assoc. Degree from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She has studied the Vaganova Theory of dance at the Prochotsky Ballet Center and performs with their company. She has also taught at the Washington School of Ballet and the Maryland Ballet Academy. She is also the recipient of a National Choreography Award.
Larisa Taber - Piano
Ms. Taber holds a Master’s Degree with Honors in Music from the Rostov State Conservatory in Russia where she taught for 20 years. She was also on the Vocal Faculty as the Supervisor of Accompanists. Since arriving in the U.S. in 2000 she has been teaching privately in Fredericksburg and joined our faculty in 2004.
