Danielle DuFore-Garcia - Tap, Jazz, Ballet
Danielle earned her Bachelor of Performing Arts from Oklahoma City University, where she studied dance (ballet, tap, jazz), voice, and acting. There she performed in numerous musicals and operas such as Faust, Carmen, Hansel and Gretel, The Most Happy Fella, Kiss Me Kate, and Guys and Dolls with the Oklahoma Opera and Music Theatre. She continued her post-graduate studies at the Alvin Ailey Dance Center in New York City where she expanded her knowledge base learning flamenco, modern, and Dunham. Danielle’s performing credits include Annie, West Side Story, Damn Yankees, On Your Toes, Hello Dolly (with Joanne Worley) and The King and I. She performed in the national tour of Chicago and danced in the off- Broadway production of Dreamgirls. She has traveled the world with the American Spirit Dance Company on their Taiwan tour and also choreographed and performed for the Beijing International Cultural Tourism Festival with Dance Etc. School of the Arts. While living in New Mexico, she was assistant choreographer for the production “Hair” (University of New Mexico) and guest tap choreographer for the Performers Ballet and Jazz Company. She has also been the recipient of the Virginia Governor’s School Award for the Outstanding Educator of the Year in 2003. Continuing to participate in opportunities for community outreach and performance collaboration, she also teaches ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop.

Ms. Winland is Artistic Director of Pointillism Jazz Consort, a professional dance company based in Washington, D.C. Pointillism’s repertory is based in the American idiom of jazz with classical, ethnic, and theatrical influences. Its members continually bring students into meaningful contact with professional theatre in their outreach education program: "The Infinite Legacy Project". Ms. Winland has been educating aspiring performers for professions in dance and musical theatre for over three decades and many have gone on to careers in dance/theatre in New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, London, and Orlando. Her specialty is designing original theatrical projects through professional collaboration. Ms. Winland’s professional performing career began at age 14, during her apprenticeship with the Ohio [Chamber] Ballet under the direction of Heinz Poll. Following a scholarship course of study in musicology at Bowling Green State University, Ms. Winland pursued a career in performing in New York City. She was a member of the U.S. Terpsichore dance company under the direction of Richard Thomas, Barbara Fallis, and, later, Daniel Levans. Ms. Winland premiered works by Mr. Levans, Mr. Poll, Eliot Feld. She was an AEA Principal in U.S. and European performances of “A Chorus Line”, “How to Succeed in Business...”, and “Cabaret” (Sally Bowles). Suzanne is delighted to return as faculty member at Dance Etc. School of the Arts!
